My weekend was pretty busy with family and friends’ events! I attended my goddaughter, Morgan Smith’s, 10th birthday party at Paint & Party as well as a Sip & Shop, with my friend, Kimberly Garrett who is the owner/stylist of Pretty!Pleez Beauty Bar. Ms. Garrett was keeping us up on the latest hair trends.

My goddaughter’s party was so much fun and of course, I didn’t paint but my granddaughter, Lailah, had a blast! At this event were beautiful little girls who were eager to experience painting on a canvas! They all were quite talented and enjoyed painting and listening to the music in the background from all of the popular Disney movies! For this event, I kept my look casual and comfortable. I wore a denim shirt dress from New York & Company. I love this style dress because it’s so easy to style. Even with a pair of converse sneakers, the look would have been fashionable and chic.
Sip & Shop Event
It was fun shopping, eating, and networking! I met some wonderful women in business and shared some creative ideas. The event was hosted by Kimberly Garrett and she owns a small, intimate salon where they treat everyone like family! She is also a great stylist and has been in the beauty business for over 20 years! If you are in the Atlanta area, stop by and visit Pretty!Pleez Beauty Bar. At this event, I wore a gold pleated dress I purchased a few years ago from The Limited. I didn’t dress it up too fancy because I wanted to be comfortable for walking and shopping. I also wanted to show the ladies how you can take a maxi dress like this and dress it down for a fun event and still look fabulous!
So, this weekend I will have to say I really got the most out of my wardrobe. A shirt dress for fun and play and a pleated maxi for networking and shopping. So, before you head out to buy an outfit for your next event, check your closet and create a fab look with what items you may already have.
