Back Down Memory Lane!

Memorial Day weekend is in a few days. We will be celebrating and honoring the men and women who died while serving our country. What are your plans for this extended weekend? I will be relaxing around the house with friends and family and cooking out on the grill. I might attend a cookout, but I really want to take this time to relax and get some much-needed rest.

What will I wear if I decide to attend a cookout? That’s easy/maybe a maxi dress and flat sandals or an all-white romper. I might just go for a cute pair of shorts and a chic wedge espadrille sandal. Whatever I decide to wear, I want it to be as minimalist-styled as possible. I am not saying I want to look boring, but I want to be comfy and enjoy my time outside in the sun.

Below, I am wearing one of my favorite maxi dresses. There’s not much to it, but I love the slimming silhouette of this dress. I was hanging out with my friend, Angie (my sister from another mother) and we decided to pull over and take some cool shots! I was born and raised in Atlanta and Decatur Street is one of the places where I used to hang out when I was younger.? It’s changed so much since back in the day, but I kept going back down memory lane with my thoughts. Now back to the outfit-this would be cool for the weekend. It’s basic but comfortable and stylish. I am wearing pearl embellished slides by Steve Madden. This is a minimalist chic style with little effort.

I smile because it makes me feel better each time. And no one wants to see a sad face!
