Hello everyone! Wishing you a happy and enjoyable weekend. Because I believe in empowering others, I want to share information about a bloggers’ community that I belong too. It is Style Collective and it has been very helpful for me in my blogging journey. Style Collective is is a membership community for female influencers to connect, grow, and learn how to be successful bloggers and entrepreneurs. I wish I had known about this blogging community a while ago, but I always say its never too late! My experience with blogging has been tough! Learning how to set up a blog is not an easy task and keeping your content going takes a lot of time.
Working fulltime and taking care of a family can give you very little time to spend on blogging. Also, as a fashion blogger, having good content and quality photos are important. Here’s the thing, it takes money to get quality pictures and it takes a lot of time to create looks for your shoots. Having relatable lifestyle shots are always the best route to go, but who really has the time or the money for all of that? I always say where there is a will there is a way and if you have a passion for something, you will be surprised just how hard you will work to make it happen.
At the beginning of my blogging journey, I had very little help once it was set up. Through networking with others, research and a lot of reading, I eventually figured it out. There were many days I wanted to let it go because I wasn’t getting traffic or subscribers. But one of the key messages I like to share with other bloggers is to be yourself! Share content that truly represents who you are. My blog is not like most fashion blogs.
I am a regular African American woman who has a passion for fashion, who decided she would live a fearless life and follow her dreams. My style is classic, edgy, trendy and chic – all rolled up into one! I choose to budget when I shop and that includes retailers like Target, Macy’s, NY&CO, TJ Maxx and many more! My blog is to inspire other women to look and feel fabulous and be fearless with fashion and their style. I want them to step outside of the box and explore the world of fashion.
