Monday Motivation!

This is the final week of Christmas and I always get a little emotional. My feelings are all over the place! There are always a million things to do, but not enough time to get it all done. The anxiety of trying to make everything perfect and everyone happy can become overwhelming. Sometimes I forget that Christmas is not all about gift-giving, food, and fun, but it’s about the birth of Christ. No one knows his exact birthday, but does it really matter? The point is, that He was born as our Savior and for that, I am grateful! I also understand that for a lot of people, this is not a happy time, due to the loss of loved ones, finances, and the feeling of loneliness. This time of the year can be depressing for some. So, I had to stop and refocus on what Christmas truly means to me. Christmas is a celebration of life for me! It’s a reminder that Jesus lives and that we need to be thankful for His mercy and grace every day! Sharing, serving and gathering with people we love should mean the most during this time. It’s a time for giving back and checking on friends, family and loved ones who may be alone. Christmas is ‘LOVE’ and we all know that’s the greatest gift of all!
